Be The light Scholarship Foundation was started in memory of Brianna Nichole Long. Brianna was tragically killed by a stray bullet while working in Valdosta, GA on October 29, 2023. She was a senior at Valdosta State University and set to graduate in May 2024 with a dental hygiene degree. Brianna
graduated from Paulding County High School class of 2020 with honors. While attending PCHS Brianna was in cheer, soccer, Future Christians of America, Spanish Honor Society, BETA Club and was named Ms. PCHS for superlatives by her peers’ senior year. At VSU Brianna was a dedicated student, while working playing intermural soccer and volunteering for underclassmen orientations. Her funeral is the only one ever held on the football field at PCHS since it was established in 1969. Brianna was a bright light in this world of division. She always went over and above to help others and judged people by their character. She is missed dearly by family and friends, and this is our way to give back while honoring her
memory.
